Most freight customer portals go unused. Here's what changes that

Shippers won't log in for the privilege of logging in. Portals earn adoption when they answer the question the customer already had.

The portals that get used share a trait: they answer 'where is my box and what will the next one cost' without a phone call. Everything else is secondary.

That means live rates the customer can actually book, quote history they can reference, and shipment status that matches what your operations team sees. If any of those three lag behind reality, adoption stalls and the emails come back.

Worth remembering that a portal is a service promise, not a cost-saving trick. Teams that treat it as the former get both.

Bring a handful of your carrier contracts to the call. We'll load them, quote a live shipment, and you can judge the difference for yourself.
